Karen Despot and Ronnie Kolodny Cobbler
Karen Despot (left) with Ronnie Kolodny Cobbler at DeSpot shop in Druid Hills Center in 2008. The Kolodny name was on a storefront in Martinsville at least as early as 1928.

Reader Comment FROM: The store front bearing the Kolodny name was beside the C.W. Holt building on Church Street and was a fine dress shop. The store was operated by Harold Kolodny's mother, a very pleasant lady, whose given name I cannot remember. She was Ronnie Kolodny Cobbler's mother-in-law. Harold Kolodny's father probably had earlier been one of the store's owners as well. Ronnie should know.

Correction: "mother-in-law" above should read "grandmother". Harold's father was named Sam.
