May 2008: Patrick Hawks is definitely in line for one. Besides being the brainchild for the Fieldale Community Center's Christmas Light Show, Patrick is now redoing the 'room beneath the stairs' aka the old Fieldale Beauty Parlor. The room was in terrible shape after years of neglect. Patrick hopes to have it ready for the Fieldale Heritage Festival on May 17th. The stained glass FIELDALE at the top was created by the Patrick Henry College Artisan Center's crafters and contributed to the project. The room will be used to sell food and drink, t-shirts and more through it's new window. FYI - if you are far away and missing Fieldale the window replaces the old door; the new door faces the street to the left of the stairs; and Patrick is the son of Larry Hawks.
